if this is your introduction to me, hi! I'm Maacah. I call this blog "sponsored by serendipity" because that's what I say about my life--I don't make plans; serendipity makes them for me. you'll also often see me refer to my life as a sitcom, in reference to the fact that, while everything always works out in the end, sometimes it's in the most absurd ways possible. so, I've resigned myself to the shenanigans--at least, they make for good stories.
besides, some things only make sense if I imagine they were written for the amusement of an imaginary studio audience.
this site is both my journal and portfolio, rolled into one, but only the journal is pay-walled.
navigation note: you know how Facebook asks you, "what's on your mind?" to encourage you to post a status? well, my thoughts and life updates now have a new home, on this website. if you've been following me on Facebook; and, you liked reading my words, seeing pictures from my travels, or watching my videos, the "apropos of nothing" tag is where you can now find my "status" updates, including bite-sized blurbs of whatever is on my mind, apropos of nothing...get it?
I realized I was putting a lot of pressure on myself to only post full + formal newsletters to here, but the point of this site is to transition all of my content entirely away from Meta-owned platforms, so I need to get used to posting as casually + frequently here as I normally would there.
this means that you won't be getting email notifications about every single post I make--that would be insane--but, I'll send periodic digests for the highlights.
